Cienfuegos
Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos. Cienfuegos is a municipality on the southern coast of Cuba, capital of the province of Cienfuegos. It is located about 250 kilometers from Havana, and has a population of 150,000. Cienfuegos is one of the chief seaports of Cuba, is a center of the sugar trade, as well as coffee and tobacco. The city was settled by French immigrants from Bordeaux and Louisiana.
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Cienfuegos is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
