Guarulhos
Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos.
Guarulhos is the second largest city in Sao Paulo state, Brazil and a suburb of Sao Paulo city itself. The population in 2003 is 1,160,468, the density is 3,649.27 per square kilometers and the area is 318 square kilometers. Brazil is the largest and most populous country in South America and the fifth largest in the world in both area and population. Guarulhos name comes from the Tupi language, and means Eaters, big bellied people a reference to the original indigenous inhabitants of the area. Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport, one of the main Brazilian airports, is located there.
