Moji das Cruzes
Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos. Mogi das Cruzes is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo located 40 kilometers to the east of São Paulo, the state capital. It was founded in 1560 by bandeirantes, explorers who left Sao Paulo for the interior in search of treasure and new lands. This suburban city is connected to other cities through CPTM's E Line. Mogi das Cruzes has two universities, and is part of the Cinturao Verde. The Mogi das Cruzes industrial park has more than 400 factories, located mostly in the Itapeti industrial district.
