Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos.
Ribeirao das Neves is a municipality in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Minas Gerais is one of the 26 states of Brazil, the second most populous and fourth biggest by area in the federation. The capital is the city of Belo Horizonte, near the center of the state. Minas Gerais is in the west of the southeastern subdivision of Brazil, which also contains the states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo. Brazil is the biggest and most crowded country in South America and the fifth largest in the world in both area and population.
