Sagua La Grande
Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos. Sagua La Grande is a city located on the north coast of the province of Villa Clara in central Cuba. It is on the Sagua la Grande River. Sagua la Grande was founded in 1812. By the beginning of the 20th century, the city and its port had grown to become an important commercial center. Presently, its economy is based on the sugar, chemical, mechanical, and food industries. The city's wide streets and little traffic provide a calm atmosphere. Cuba, officially the Republic of Cuba, consists of the island of Cuba, the Isle of Youth and adjacent small islands. Cuba is located in the northern Caribbean at the meeting of the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Sagua La Grande is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
