Osasco




Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Overall, the land is fertile and rugged, and dominated through its heart by a string of volcanic mountain ranges with a few active volcanos.

Osasco is a municipality and city in Sao Paulo in Brazil, ranking 5th in population among Sao Paulo municipalities. The current mayor is Emidio de Souza. Osasco was founded by the Italian Antonio Agu. He came from a homonym commune in the province of Turin.
 
The population in 2003 is 678,583, the density is 10,439.74 per square kilometers the area is 65 square kilometers. It is fourth in Sao Paulo metropolitan area. It's considered the west region capital. It used to be a quarter of Sao Paulo until February 19, 1962, when Osasco became a municipality of its own.
 
Brazil is the largest and most populous country in South America; and the fifth largest in the world in both area and population. Brazil was colonized by Portugal and it is the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas. It is a multiracial country with a population composed of European, Amerindian, African and Asian elements. The country's Roman Catholic population is the single largest of any country in the world.
