Varzea Grande

Central America is the central geographic region of the Americas. It is variably defined either as being a region of the Americas in its own right or as the southern portion of North America. Physiographically, Central America is a tropical isthmus that connects North and South America. It includes 7 countries and many small offshore islands. Varzea Grande is a city in Mato Grosso, Brazil. It has a population of 248,728 in 2005 and forms a single conurbation with the state capital Cuiaba. Cuiaba is the capital city of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. It is located in the exact centre of South America and is in conurbation with the neighboring town of Varzea Grande. Mato Grosso is one of the states of Brazil and is located in the western part of the country. Neighboring states include Rondonia, Amazonas, Para, Tocantins, Goias and Mato Grosso do Sul.
